“HERE IS NOW” is a “pop-up” art show organized by Natasha Lands and Victor Wang. This exhibit features the works of eleven contemporary Vancouver artists, who will be taking over a storefront at the corner of 6th and Main St, Vancouver Canada for one night only.
The intention is to exhibit a diverse range of talented young Vancouver artists in a non-conventional space. This “pop-up” aesthetic demonstrates what can be accomplished independently, with limited time, and limited resources.
“HERE IS NOW” hopes to add to the cities cultural diversity and create more attention for the amazing younger contemporary arts community in Vancouver. As 2010 approaches an increasing number of “POP UP” art shows will be happening in various unconventional and alluring locations around the city.

The Dark Vancouver, Canada
“in order to establish a basis upon which a percipient may observe the construct in which said percipient contains an existence, a divergent existence must be on a threshold of convergence with the percipience contained construct. this will allow the simultaneous recognition of a potential event horizon by both existences such that independent analysis by either existence becomes dependent on the probability of a potential event horizon.
the potentiality of convergence, however, is limited by the central tendency and operant conditioning of each percipient within a contained construct. reciprocal determinism on a threshold of convergence may negate the effects of both operant conditioning and central tendency provided that the percipience acknowledgement of these factors is within the contained construct.
with an established basis of observance during the convergence of existances, each percipients contained construct becomes polychronically intrapsychic, allowing analysis by both percipients of a respectively convergent construct.” (THE DARK)
Robert Mearns Vancouver, Canada

Kyle Scully Vancouver, Canada
Kyle Scully is a Vancouver based photographer. His work, which follows his life, highlights the peripheral corners of everyday with a direct romance.
Jessica Delorme Vancouver, Canada.
Raised in the western prairies, Jessica received her BFA in Painting at the University of Alberta. She has since migrated to Vancouver, finding inspiration in the spatial contrast of a city nestled between ocean and mountainscape. Her largely autobiographical work draws strength from the diverse layering of this physical and social environment; visual themes that explore questions on gender and identity construction, acknowledging the everyday anxieties and monotony brought about from urban expectations. Much of her results come from her aggressive process of forcing multiple compositions into one painting until it becomes overwhelming. The piece is only completed after stepping back and obliterating large elements. Because of this, the work becomes more and more painterly allowing the medium to show history, providing tangible content of addition through absence. Jessica consciously uses elements of her life that are accessible to a larger audience. In doing this she hopes to create a visual forum for dialogue that relates to a broader range of people.
Hana Pesut Vancouver, Canada
Hana has loved taking photos for most of her life. When she is not taking photos, she’s likely either petting her sweeet cat matthew, or making people dance.
